Fly Fishing Supplies, It’s in the List
The mention of fly fishing conjures up images of a fisherman in waders standing in a stream whipping a line back and forth over his head, and this image is a more simple thought of the fly fishing phenomenon. Fly Fishing is becoming a side niche of the fishing genre that is taken on a whole new life of it's own, a life that involves a more technical fisherman and it's own unique fly fishing supplies, a more artistic form of fishing if you will.
Fly Fishing specific supplies are a fly fishing rod, reel, vest and waders, not to mention the various types of fly fishing lures. Fly fishing also involves learning the feeding habits of the fish that you are trying to catch.

The basic fly fishing supplies that I have mentioned above with a bit more detail is as follows:
- Fly fishing vest - A specially designed vest equipped with lots of pockets to hold all of the fly fishing supplies that you could possibly need.
- Fly Fishing boxes - are containers large enough to hold many different varieties of fly fishing lures and fly fishing supplies, but small enough to fit into one of the pockets on your fly fishing vest.
- Extra Fly Fishing Reel - Accidents do happen, and it would be a shame to waste a fishing trip, especially if you made a considerable journey to get that perfect fishing spot, without a spare reel.
- Insect Repellent - A must have fly fishing supply, especially if you are in a heavily vegetated area. Insects can quickly take the enjoyment out of an otherwise relaxing trip.
- Sun Screen - you will want ample protection from the sun's harmful rays, wade fishing is like standing on a mirror, and having the sun's rays bounce off of the water and back onto your face. Be prepared.
- First Aid Kit - You always want to be prepared in the worst case scenarios, having a first aid kit has been a life saver in many situations that have arisen in the past for fly fishermen.
There are many other fly fishing supplies that you will want to take with you on your fishing excursions, some of the commonly used items off the top of my head are, large fingernail clippers, forceps for removing those difficult hooks, sunglasses, gloves, and a good pocket knife.
It is a great idea when you are in the planning stage of your fly fishing trip is to make a list of the things that you will need, work on this list a few days before you go, adding things as you think of them. Having a fly fishing supply list will ensure that you have everything that you could need for any situation that may arise.
